What Instrument?

Hey!
On September 22, 2010 I have my band orientation. I was wondering do you think i should flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, or trombone? I really wanna do flute, but the thing is almost every girl on my mom's side of my family played the flute. Should i do something else or follow my heart?
